Loaner garb is available for your first few events. After reading the short guidelines below, please review the Gold Key Inventory Spreadsheet and e-mail your garb request to the Gold Key contact at goldkey@debatablelands.org. (The name of the Gold Key contact person is listed on the Appointed Positions page.)

• Include Size Information

  When you request Gold Key garb for yourself or for a friend, include the specific spreadsheet items requested and include the preferred clothing size and style (e.g. 1-2x size clothing, masculine/feminine/unisex style). Gold Key items in the inventory spreadsheet are photographed and grouped by size and style, but most items are not made to a standard modern clothing size. The majority of Gold Key items are tops and dresses. Bring comfortable, neutral-colored bottoms (pants, leggings, skirt) to accompany your Gold Key garb.

• Be Considerate — Request Early

  If you request garb less than 48 hours before the start of the event, Gold Key cannot guarantee that garb will be ready for you.

• Pick-Up and Return

  Your loaner garb will be available when you check in at the event; ask for it at troll when you arrive. You must return the garb before you leave the event at the end of the day. Do not take Gold Key garb home with you without talking to the Gold Key contact.

• Pennsic: A Special Case

  If you want to go to Pennsic, you need to be prepared to garb yourself for the entirety of your visit. Heading to Pennsic but have no garb? You may (pending availability) be able to borrow one Gold Key outfit, so that you have something to wear to the marketplace where you will be able to buy your own garb.

  We all tend to be very busy with our own preparations in the weeks immediately before Pennsic, so please be considerate. While there are no guarantees that you will be able to borrow Gold Key garb for Pennsic, requests received less than two weeks before Land Grab are much less likely to be considered or honored.

Do you have extra items you would like to donate to Gold Key? Gold Key is always accepting used garb in good condition that is ready to be worn upon donation. The Gold Key inventory is managed by an appointed member of the Barony in their home, and has limited space. Gold Key reserves the right to refuse any donation for any reason. Gold Key does not accept donations of items other than garb (hats, cloaks, tops, bottoms, dresses, coats, belts, etc). Please contact Gold Key at goldkey@debatablelands.org with more details.
